The Available Trims

The 2021 Chevy Silverado 2500HD is a huge truck that can seat up to 6 people, depending on the trim you pick. This heavy-duty truck comes in 5 trims: Work Truck, LT, Custom, LTZ, and High Country. The Work Truck, LT, Custom and LTZ trims seat 6. The High Country trim is the only one that seats up to 5. So which trim is right for you? Take a look at the details below!

Work Truck Trim

For the base Chevrolet Silverado, you'll get the Work Truck trim. As its name suggests, it's a monster of a vehicle, despite it being the first available in the lineup! Here, you'll get a 6.6L V8 gas engine, which you can upgrade to a 6.6L turbo V8 diesel if you wish. The base engine is capable of 401 HP and 464 lb-ft of torque, while the diesel is capable of 445 HP and 910 lb-ft of torque.

If you choose the gas engine, you'll be able to tow up to 17,400 pounds. Opt for the diesel engine, and that number increases to 36,000 pounds! A 6-speed automatic transmission also comes standard, which is upgradable to a 10-speed. In addition, rear-wheel drive is standard. If you want four-wheel drive, you can always upgrade to that.

Features that come with this trim include bucket seats, air conditioning, and telematics. For the infotainment system, you'll get Bluetooth, satellite radio, AUX input, and an MP3 player. This trim isn't lacking in safety features either. You'll benefit from a backup camera, ABS, tire pressure monitor, stability control, and traction control.

Available upgrades include Wi-Fi hotspot, steering wheel audio controls, power mirrors, cruise control, keyless entry, and power driver seat. Extra safety features include cross-traffic alert, blindspot monitoring, and rear parking aid.
