The New 2024 Chevrolet Trax

The all-new 2024 Chevrolet Trax is arriving daily at Patriot Chevrolet in Bartlesville, OK, and we’re excited. For 2024, the Chevy Trax underwent extensive transformation—from the outside in. As Chevy describes the new Trax: “A small SUV ready for big, big things.” Now with a longer wheelbase, passengers have extra inches of leg room, head room and increased cargo capacity, seating 5 passengers very comfortably.  

The front-wheel-drive Trax boasts a powerful ECOTEC 1.2L Turbo Engine that’s great on gas, averaging a combined 30 MPG. With its 137-hp turbocharged engine comes a six-speed automatic transmission, able to react nimbly on the highway and off. With great power comes great responsibility—advanced safety features to help keep everyone safe.  

Though perhaps the biggest reason this small SUV is setting hearts ablaze: The 2024 Chevrolet Trax somehow brings powerful force to luxury driving, all at an affordable price. For 2024, Chevrolet widely expanded its Trax options, growing from two to eight available colors, as well as five trims. That’s just the start of Trax’s standout features, so hold onto your seats. 

Among the largest transformations for the small SUV Chevy Trax this year: an extended wheelbase that brings an extra two inches of legroom and 11 inches of total car length, with an overall length dimension of 178.60 inches. All aboard an ample wheelbase that features sleek, black-painted wheels. Also standard, a back window defogger. 

The 2024 Chevrolet Trax features a single powertrain engine for this series: a 1.2-liter ECOTEC Turbo engine. Bringing together both great power and smart responsibility, the turbocharged Trax engine offers 137-horsepower at 5,000 RPM, plus 162 of torque at 2,500 RPM. But sheer power is just half of the Trax engine love story.  

Standard for this next-generation turbo engine design is excellent gas mileage. Imagine that: a turbo engine with excellent gas mileage—something to celebrate. A feat of advanced engineering whose time has finally come.

This year, the Chevy Trax is available in eight dazzling colors, along with five possible trims. Standard for all trim levels on the Trax is a smart 1.2L turbo engine and automatic 6-speed transmission.  

The sleek-and-smoky overall design on all trims includes a blacked-out grill, black window frames and a black-painted tire wheelbase. It also includes deep-tinted glass, offering a smoky window treatment for all vehicle windows. From front to rear, this helps keep occupants and objects cooler. Keep in mind, this beauty is likewise available with a power sunroof, front-and-back black splashguards, as well as exterior cross-rails for a sturdy roof rack.  

For 2024 the Chevrolet Trax comes in the following trims, all with extra-wide wheels. 

• The Chevy Trax LS with 17” steel wheels 
• The Chevy Trax 1RS with 18” aluminum wheels 
• The Chevy Trax LT with 17” aluminum wheels 
• The Chevy Trax 2RS with 19” aluminum wheels 
• The Chevy Trax ACTIV with 18” aluminum wheels.  

While the wheelbase materials will differ, all Trax trims come with black painted wheels. Silver painted wheels are available. Each of those five trims also comes with a front recovery hook, as well as the following specific options, perks and dimensions. 

Of the five trim levels, the 2024 Chevy Trax LS base model offers everything a busy driver could want. A 1.2-liter turbocharged ECOTEC engine, paired to advanced onboard safety technology such as Automatic Braking, electric power steering, cruise control—all standard. Also standard: MacPherson front suspension struts, aboard 17” steel wheels sporting all-season Blackwall tires.  

Power-touch amenities on the LS model bring standard power mirrors for outside, advanced IntelliBeam technology and a 130-amp alternator. Inside, the Trax comes with comfy bucket seats, surrounded by a four-speaker audio system. Add the active noise reduction system and the Trax LS really goes out of its way to provide a smooth, tranquil ride—across any distance or speed.  

Also standard in all Trax models is a compact spare wheel and tire. Keep in mind that the LS trim is also made available with many of the Trax ACTIV exterior package, including moldings; the Blackout Package is also available. In every Trax trim level, excellence.  

Of the five possible trim levels, the standard 2024 Chevy Trax 1RS brings with it black-painted 18” machined aluminum wheels. Also standard on the 1RS is wireless Android and Apple CarPlay, as well as heated power outside mirrors for cold nights or mornings. It also offers heated driver and front passenger bucket seats, as well as a heated steering wheel.  

That’s just the start of the Trax 1RS trim perks. It also comes with Remote Keyless Entry and Remote Start, both standard. Onboard, an advanced 8” HD color touchscreen, a Rear Vision Camera and other important safety features. A power sunroof is also available. 

The 2024 Chevy Trax LT brings a wealth of features to the Trax family. It features 17” gray-painted aluminum wheels and a rear spoiler. An 11” HD color touchscreen and six-speaker system come standard in this and higher trims. Keyless Start is also standard. The Trax LT also features comfy bucket front seats in jet black Evotex, with yellow accents. 

All the features found on prior trims and many more come with the 2024 Chevy Trax 2RS, such as the MacPherson strut front suspension, keyless start, automated driver safety features and more. Distinguishing this trim is its sportier exterior and far larger wheel size.  Aboard are comfy Evotex seats, surrounded by a six-speaker audio system, 11” HD touchscreen and 8” Driver Information Center.

Among the five astounding trims for this subcompact SUV crossover, emerging for the first time is the 2024 Chevy Trax ACTIV. This top-of-the-line trim brings a more rugged body and appearance, while otherwise quite similar to the 2RS package that includes roof-mounted side-rails, keyless open, remote start and the 11” HD color touchscreen.  

The Trax ACTIV sports wide 18” black-painted aluminum wheels and all-season Blackwall tires. The ACTIV also brings heated front seats as well as heated seatbacks and cushions, along with Evotex leatherette seats. Also available with a power sunroof.
